Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions explain the rules that apply when you visit the AIRBONE CONNECT® website, create an account, place an order, purchase our products, use our digital services or communicate with our customer support team.
Australian Consumer Law
Our products and services come with rights and guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, remedy or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.
About These Terms
These Terms & Conditions apply to the AIRBONE CONNECT® website, online store, customer accounts, products, promotions, support services and related interactions operated by Go Airbone Pty Ltd.
In these terms, “AIRBONE CONNECT®”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Go Airbone Pty Ltd trading as AIRBONE CONNECT®, where relevant.
“You” and “your” refer to the website visitor, account holder, purchaser, customer or person using our services.
By using our website, creating an account, placing an order or using our services, you agree to comply with these terms and any other policies that apply to the relevant transaction.
If you do not agree with these terms, you should not use the website or submit an order.
Eligibility to Use Our Website
You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement to place an order through our website.
If you are under 18 years of age, you should use the website and make a purchase only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian.
If you place an order on behalf of a business or another organisation, you confirm that you have authority to act on its behalf.
Website Information
We aim to keep product descriptions, compatibility information, specifications, prices, availability and website content accurate and reasonably current.
However, website information may occasionally contain typographical, technical, photographic, pricing or availability errors.
Product colours may also appear differently depending on screen settings, lighting, photography and device display characteristics.
We may correct inaccurate website information when identified. We will not use an error-correction clause to avoid an order merely because it later becomes commercially inconvenient.
Product Specifications and Compatibility
Customers should review the product description, dimensions, supported standards, compatibility requirements and operating instructions before purchasing or using a product.
Compatibility may depend on factors including:
- device model and hardware;
- connector type;
- operating system or software version;
- charging protocol;
- power supply capability;
- cable capability;
- storage-drive type or format;
- display support; and
- third-party device limitations.
Customers should contact us before purchase where they require confirmation about a particular intended use.
Nothing in this section limits a customer's rights where they relied on a representation or recommendation made by us regarding fitness for a disclosed purpose.
Orders and Contract Formation
Submitting an order is an offer to purchase the selected products under these terms.
An automated order confirmation acknowledges that we have received the order. It does not necessarily mean that the order has been finally accepted or dispatched.
An order is ordinarily accepted when payment has been approved and the order enters fulfilment or is dispatched.
Before acceptance, we may reasonably review:
- payment authorisation;
- inventory availability;
- delivery-address validity;
- suspected fraud or unauthorised activity;
- purchase quantity;
- pricing or system errors; and
- compliance with these terms.
Order Acceptance and Cancellation
We may decline or cancel an order before dispatch where there is a legitimate reason, including:
- the product is unavailable;
- payment cannot be authorised;
- the delivery address cannot be serviced;
- the order contains a clear and genuine pricing or technical error;
- the order appears fraudulent or unauthorised;
- the order breaches an advertised purchase limit;
- the transaction is prohibited by law; or
- we are otherwise unable to supply the order.
If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will arrange a refund of the applicable amount to the original payment method.
We will not cancel a valid order solely to require the customer to repurchase the same available product at a higher price.
Customer Order Cancellations
Customers should request cancellation as soon as possible through our website Contact Form.
We may be able to cancel an order only while it remains unprocessed and has not been allocated, packed or dispatched.
Once an order has entered fulfilment or has been dispatched, it may no longer be possible to cancel it. The customer may instead need to follow the applicable return process after delivery.
Prices, Currency and Taxes
Unless otherwise stated, prices displayed on our Australian website are in Australian dollars.
Applicable taxes will be included or calculated as required. Delivery charges and other applicable fees will be displayed during checkout before the order is submitted.
Prices may change without notice. A price change will not ordinarily affect an order that has already been accepted.
Marketplace, retailer and promotional prices may differ from prices displayed on our website because each sales channel may have different fees, promotions, inventory and fulfilment arrangements.
Payment
Available payment methods will be displayed during checkout.
Payments may be processed by Shopify Payments, financial institutions, card networks, digital wallet services, buy-now-pay-later providers or other approved payment providers.
By submitting payment information, you confirm that:
- the information provided is accurate;
- you are authorised to use the selected payment method;
- sufficient funds or credit are available; and
- the transaction is not fraudulent or unlawful.
Payment providers may conduct their own verification, security and risk checks under their applicable terms.
Discounts, Promotions and Gift Offers
Promotional offers, discount codes and campaign benefits are subject to the terms displayed with the relevant offer.
Unless expressly stated otherwise:
- offers cannot be exchanged for cash;
- only one discount code may be used per order;
- discounts apply only during the advertised period;
- discounts may exclude specified products or categories;
- minimum-spend requirements are calculated after excluded amounts;
- offers cannot be applied retrospectively to completed orders; and
- promotions are subject to reasonable stock availability.
We may cancel or refuse promotional benefits obtained through automated misuse, duplicate accounts, false information, unauthorised distribution or other fraudulent conduct.
Delivery
Delivery charges, estimated delivery periods, tracking, address changes, delayed parcels and missing shipments are governed by our Shipping Policy.
Our current domestic delivery options include:
| Delivery option | Estimated period | Charge |
|---|---|---|
| Standard Delivery | 5–8 business days | AU$10 for orders below AU$99 and free for eligible orders of AU$99 or more. |
| Expedited Delivery | 3–5 business days | Flat AU$14 rate. |
Delivery periods are estimates unless expressly stated as guaranteed. Your rights regarding delayed or undelivered goods remain unaffected.
View Shipping PolicyRisk and Ownership
Ownership of a purchased product ordinarily passes to the customer after full payment has been received.
Responsibility for delivery remains subject to applicable law and our Shipping Policy.
A carrier tracking scan does not automatically prevent a customer from reporting and having us investigate a genuine delivery problem.
Returns, Refunds and Change of Mind
Eligible change-of-mind returns may be requested within 30 days from the date the product is received, subject to our Warranty & Refund Policy.
Approved change-of-mind returns must generally be returned in new, unused, complete and resellable condition with original packaging and included accessories.
A 2% inventory service fee applies to approved voluntary change-of-mind returns, as explained in our Warranty & Refund Policy.
The change-of-mind fee does not apply where a customer is entitled to a remedy for faulty, incorrectly described or otherwise non-compliant goods under Australian Consumer Law.
View Warranty & Refund PolicyTwo-Year Manufacturer's Warranty
Eligible AIRBONE CONNECT® products include a two-year manufacturer's warranty against manufacturing faults, beginning on the original date of purchase.
An approved claim may result in troubleshooting, repair, one replacement, an agreed partial refund or another appropriate remedy, depending on the nature of the issue and applicable law.
A replacement provided under the voluntary manufacturer's warranty does not restart a new two-year warranty period. It ordinarily receives the unused balance of the original manufacturer-warranty period.
The manufacturer's warranty is additional to, and does not replace, consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law.
Batteries and Consumable Components
Rechargeable batteries and other consumable components naturally deteriorate through ordinary use, age and charging cycles.
Normal gradual reduction in battery capacity is generally considered wear and tear rather than a manufacturing fault.
However, a battery or consumable component may still qualify for a remedy where it has a manufacturing fault or fails to satisfy an applicable consumer guarantee.
Any applicable warranty assessment will be conducted under our Warranty & Refund Policy and Australian Consumer Law.
Electrical Ratings, Compatibility and Safe Product Use
AIRBONE CONNECT® products must be used only for their stated purpose and within the electrical, charging, power, voltage, current, environmental and compatibility limits shown on the product, packaging, product page or supplied instructions.
The stated wattage of a cable, charger or adapter is a maximum supported rating under appropriate operating conditions. It does not mean that the product can safely accept power, voltage, current or environmental exposure beyond its stated specifications.
Customers are responsible for checking that the product is suitable for the device, power source and intended application before connecting or using it.
Customers must not:
- use a product above its stated maximum wattage, voltage, current, temperature or other operating limit;
- connect a product to an incompatible, damaged, modified, unstable or non-compliant charger, power supply, socket, battery, cable or device;
- use a cable, charger or adapter with equipment requiring specifications that the product is not represented as supporting;
- use a product outdoors, in rain, moisture, condensation or wet conditions unless that use is expressly supported by its published rating;
- use a product while its connector, housing, cable, insulation or power source is wet, damaged, loose, overheated or contaminated;
- expose a product to unsupported heat, liquids, chemicals, crushing, bending, impact, fire or environmental conditions;
- modify, open, repair, extend, splice or alter the product;
- use unauthorised adapters or combinations that change the intended electrical configuration; or
- continue using a product that shows abnormal heat, swelling, sparking, smoke, odour, intermittent operation or physical damage.
Customers must immediately disconnect and stop using a product if it appears damaged, overheats abnormally, emits smoke or an unusual odour, produces sparks, becomes wet or otherwise appears unsafe.
To the extent permitted by law, AIRBONE CONNECT® is not responsible for damage, loss or injury caused by use outside the product's published specifications, customer misuse, an incompatible device, an unsuitable power source, unauthorised modification, ignored safety warnings or another cause not arising from a defect in the AIRBONE CONNECT® product.
Nothing in this section excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded where a proven manufacturing defect in an AIRBONE CONNECT® product directly causes reasonably foreseeable loss during normal, intended and specification-compliant use.
Customer Accounts
Customers may be able to create an account to view orders, store selected details or access other website features.
Account holders are responsible for:
- providing accurate and current information;
- maintaining the confidentiality of login credentials;
- using a strong and unique password;
- not sharing account access with unauthorised persons;
- reviewing activity conducted through the account; and
- notifying us promptly of suspected unauthorised access.
We may temporarily restrict an account where reasonably necessary to investigate suspected fraud, security threats or serious misuse.
Acceptable Website Use
You must use our website lawfully and must not:
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts or systems;
- introduce malware, malicious code or harmful material;
- interfere with website performance or security;
- use bots or automated tools to abuse promotions or checkout;
- scrape or harvest protected content or personal information;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity;
- submit false payment, delivery, return or warranty information;
- use the website for fraudulent or unlawful conduct;
- circumvent purchase limits or security measures; or
- infringe our intellectual property or another person's rights.
We may take reasonable action to protect the website, customers and our business from unlawful or harmful activity.
Reviews, Feedback and Submitted Content
You may submit reviews, feedback, images or other content where the website permits.
You must ensure that submitted content:
- is based on a genuine experience;
- is not false, misleading or deceptive;
- does not contain unlawful, threatening or abusive material;
- does not disclose another person's private information;
- does not infringe copyright, trademark or other rights;
- does not contain malware or harmful links; and
- does not promote unrelated commercial services.
You retain ownership of your original content. By submitting content for publication, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce, format and use that content for operating, promoting and improving AIRBONE CONNECT® services.
We may moderate or remove content that breaches these terms, but we will not remove a genuine negative review merely because it is unfavourable.
Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, website content and brand materials are owned by, licensed to or used with permission by Go Airbone Pty Ltd or the relevant rights holder.
Protected materials may include:
- the AIRBONE CONNECT® name;
- the AIRBONE registered logo;
- product names and branding;
- product photography and videos;
- website graphics and layouts;
- product descriptions and written content;
- manuals, diagrams and packaging designs; and
- software, code and digital assets.
You may view and use the website for personal, non-commercial shopping purposes.
You must not copy, reproduce, modify, republish, distribute, sell, licence or commercially exploit protected materials without prior written authorisation, except where permitted by law.
Third-Party Services and Links
Our website may integrate with or link to payment providers, delivery services, social platforms, marketplaces or other third-party services.
Third-party services may have their own terms, privacy practices and operating requirements.
We do not control independent third-party websites and are not responsible for their content, security or practices, except to the extent responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded.
A link or integration does not necessarily mean that we endorse every statement, product or service offered by the third party.
Privacy and Personal Information
Our handling of personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy covers matters including:
- the information we may collect;
- how information may be used;
- service providers and disclosures;
- cookies and tracking technologies;
- overseas processing;
- data security and retention;
- access and correction requests;
- deletion requests; and
- privacy complaints.
Marketing Communications
We may send commercial electronic messages where we have the required consent or another lawful basis to do so.
Eligible marketing communications will identify the sender and provide a functional way to unsubscribe.
You may opt out of marketing communications by using the unsubscribe option in the message or by contacting us through our website.
Opting out of marketing will not prevent us from sending necessary transactional or service communications relating to:
- orders and payments;
- delivery and tracking;
- account security;
- returns and refunds;
- warranty claims; or
- other customer-requested services.
Website Availability
We aim to provide reliable website access but do not guarantee that the website will always be uninterrupted, error-free or available.
Website access may be affected by:
- maintenance and updates;
- hosting or platform interruptions;
- internet or telecommunications failures;
- payment-provider outages;
- security incidents;
- technical errors; or
- circumstances outside our reasonable control.
We may modify, suspend or discontinue a website feature where reasonably necessary, provided that doing so does not remove rights relating to an existing accepted order.
Liability for Product Use and Other Property
AIRBONE CONNECT® is responsible for remedies and compensation only to the extent required by applicable law and only where the claimed loss is established to have resulted from a failure of our product or another act for which we are legally responsible.
Purchasing an AIRBONE CONNECT® product does not make us automatically responsible for every failure, malfunction or item of property connected to or used near that product.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AIRBONE CONNECT® will not be responsible for damage to a laptop, mobile telephone, tablet, charger, power supply, storage device, household electrical system, vehicle, building or other property where the damage was caused or contributed to by:
- use outside the product's stated specifications or intended purpose;
- exceeding a published wattage, voltage, current, temperature or environmental limit;
- use with incompatible, faulty, modified, counterfeit or non-compliant third-party equipment;
- use in rain, moisture, water, condensation or another unsupported environment;
- incorrect installation, connection, charging or operation;
- continued use after visible damage, excessive heat, sparking, smoke, unusual odour or another warning sign;
- customer negligence, misuse, accident or unauthorised modification;
- an electrical surge, defective wall socket, household wiring fault, unstable power supply or external electrical malfunction;
- failure of another product, accessory, charger, device or electrical system; or
- failure to follow the product instructions, safety warnings or published compatibility information.
Where damage is alleged, the customer must provide information reasonably required to assess the claim. This may include proof of purchase, product photographs, model and serial information, charger and device specifications, details of how the product was used, evidence of the alleged damage and an independent technical assessment where appropriate.
We may inspect the AIRBONE CONNECT® product and relevant equipment or request an assessment by an appropriately qualified person before accepting responsibility. Submission of a claim does not itself establish that the AIRBONE CONNECT® product caused the alleged damage.
AIRBONE CONNECT® will not be responsible for exaggerated, speculative, unsupported or unrelated amounts. Any legally recoverable compensation must be supported by evidence, reasonably attributable to the proven failure and reasonably foreseeable in the circumstances.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any liability, consumer guarantee or right to compensation that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Example: Damage Allegedly Caused by a Cable or Charger
Example A — Use outside the stated specifications
A customer purchases an AIRBONE CONNECT® cable with a clearly stated maximum supported power rating. The customer connects it through an unsuitable adapter or power source that exceeds the published limits, uses it in a wet environment or continues using it after the cable shows physical damage or overheating.
If the customer's laptop, charger, socket or other property is then damaged because of that misuse, incompatible equipment, moisture exposure or external electrical malfunction, AIRBONE CONNECT® would not ordinarily be responsible for that additional damage.
Depending on the inspection results, the customer may also be ineligible for a voluntary manufacturer-warranty remedy for the cable because the failure arose from excluded use rather than a manufacturing fault.
Example B — Proven defect during correct use
A customer uses an AIRBONE CONNECT® cable with a compatible device and compliant charger, within all published ratings, in a dry indoor environment and according to the supplied instructions.
If independent evidence establishes that a manufacturing defect in the cable directly caused damage to the connected device, the customer may be entitled to a remedy for the cable and may also be entitled to compensation for reasonably foreseeable proven loss as required by Australian Consumer Law.
The outcome would depend on evidence of the defect, causation, correct use, the condition of the connected equipment and whether the claimed loss was reasonably foreseeable. AIRBONE CONNECT® would not be required to accept unsupported assumptions or claims merely because its product was connected when the incident occurred.
Indemnity for Unlawful Use
To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for reasonable loss directly caused by your unlawful use of the website, deliberate misconduct, fraud or infringement of another person's rights.
This clause does not require a consumer to compensate us for loss caused by our own breach, negligence or unlawful conduct.
Fraud and Misuse
We may reasonably investigate suspected:
- payment fraud;
- account takeover;
- identity misrepresentation;
- false delivery claims;
- false refund or warranty claims;
- promotion abuse;
- chargeback abuse;
- automated website misuse; or
- other unlawful conduct.
Where reasonably supported and permitted by law, we may request verification, suspend voluntary benefits, restrict account access, cancel an unfulfilled fraudulent order or refer suspected unlawful conduct to the relevant provider or authority.
This section will not be used to deny genuine claims or restrict lawful consumer rights.
Events Outside Reasonable Control
A party will not be responsible for delay caused by circumstances genuinely outside its reasonable control, such as natural disasters, severe weather, transport disruption, government restrictions, major system outages or widespread carrier interruption.
The affected party must take reasonable steps to reduce the impact and resume performance when reasonably possible.
This section does not remove a customer's right to an appropriate remedy where goods or services cannot be supplied within the agreed or a reasonable period.
Resolving Concerns
Customers should contact us through our website if they have a concern about an order, product, account or service.
Please provide:
- the order number, where applicable;
- a clear explanation of the concern;
- the outcome being requested; and
- relevant supporting information.
We will review the matter and aim to provide a fair and practical response within a reasonable period.
Nothing in these terms prevents either party from exercising a legal right or contacting an appropriate consumer-protection body.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable in Australia and, where relevant, the state or territory connected with the transaction.
The parties submit to the jurisdiction of courts and tribunals that have lawful authority to hear the dispute.
Nothing in this section prevents a consumer from relying on any jurisdictional right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Severability
If a provision of these terms is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted or limited to the minimum extent necessary.
If it cannot be validly interpreted or limited, it may be separated from the remaining terms without affecting the validity of the other provisions.
No Waiver
If we do not immediately enforce a provision of these terms, that does not mean we permanently waive the provision or our right to enforce it later.
A waiver must be clear and applies only to the specific matter for which it is given.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions when our products, services, website features, business operations or legal obligations change.
The current version will be published on this page.
Changes will not retrospectively remove rights that already apply to an accepted order or completed transaction.
Where a material change affects an active account or ongoing service, we may provide additional notice where reasonably appropriate.
Related Policies
These terms should be read together with the policies relevant to your transaction.
